Steel cut oats, thick rolled oats, old fashioned oats or extra thick oats are all good to make this delicious breakfast.
Cook oatmeal with water, into an extra thick consistency then thin it with regular milk to the consistency you prefer. Cook for another 2-3 minute.
Serve in a bowl and add the following toppings:
Chopped figs (dried figs)
Almonds (or any other nuts)
Flax seeds partially ground
There is no need to add extra sugar to this breakfast. If you prefer it sweet then take a piece of fig or date in each spoonful of oatmeal so that every bite tastes sweet without added refined sugar.
